I am 24. I live in Glasgow. I am involved in building mass organisations in communities and workplaces in Glasgow. I have previously been involved in (failed) struggles against war, and stock transfer. I've been politically active on the left since I was seventeen. I became an anarchist communist while at university, after the SSP - who I was flirting with joining at the time - made an opportunistic withdrawal from a campaign against the sell-off of university student halls. While initially an unrealistic insurrectionist, the failure of the anti-war movement over the invasion of Afghanistan and later the invasion of Iraq had a profound effect on me, amd the disarray of the anarchist left, and the failure of the mass of ordinary people to spontaneously overthrow the government (yeah, how surprising, couldn't have seen that one coming :-D ) led me to reconsider my, then, daft politics. Since then I have gravitated towards platformism and have been involved in a number of initiatives to build mass organisation. I'm not interested in any activity which will not help to build working class power. I eke a living out of various sources, and try to focus on the work of building mass organisations.
